                <title>Natural Resources Tribal Youth Camp Opportunity</title>

                <description><![CDATA[<h4><a href="//www.sagchip.org/planning/index.htm">Planning</a></h4><p><small>6/4/2026 8:33:00 AM EST</small></p><p class="MsoNormal">We are inviting youth (**<u>11 to 17 years old</u> at the time of camp) to register and attend Natural Resources Tribal Youth Camp. The camp will be held from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday, June 15<sup>th</sup> to 18<sup>th</sup> with limited availability.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Natural Resources Youth Camp aims to encourage our youth to engage and learn about environmental issues, how to better protect and support our natural resources while facilitating and innovating sustainable development. Camp will provide youth engagement and participation opportunities to learn about environmental concepts such as: Great Lakes ecosystems; clean water, air, and land; stewardship activities; scientific inquiry and critical thinking; and cultural values. We are excited to participate and further develop local place-based learning opportunities for our Tribal youth to experience and we look forward to collaborating with local Environmental partners and educators such as Chippewa Watershed Conservancy, Chippewa Nature Center, the Little Forks Conservancy, Forest Hill Nature Area, and other Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe departments with environmental and educational initiatives.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Registration deadline is June 10<sup>th</sup>, 2026</strong> with a reduced <span style="background: yellow; mso-highlight: yellow;">$20 registration fee</span> (that will be returned upon completing camp). Registration fee and completed application packet are required to reserve camp spot. Payment is being taken at the Planning Department (2451 Nish-Na-Be-Anong Rd.).</p>
