Tour Information

Guided tours are available with advance notification. Self-guided tours are also available with an orientation of the center from one of our Visitor Service Representatives.

This will be the premier opportunity for educating students and all other groups about the history and culture of the Great Lakes Anishinabek. Our staff will customize the tour to the needs of the group, so that everyone can have an exciting educational experience.

A guided tour through our Diba Jimooyung permanent exhibit and changing exhibit lasts about one-and-a-half hours, or can be shortened to 45 minutes. If necessary, the Ziibiwing Center can provide wheel chairs and strollers for guests. Teachers, tour leaders, and bus drivers always receive free admission.

To schedule your tour please contact the Events & Promotions Coordinator at 989-775-4750.

The Ziibiwing Center offers exhibit viewing after hours for groups, meetings/conferences, or corporate receptions and dinners, when scheduled in advance. This service is provided with supervision by Ziibiwing Center staff.

Tours can be tailored to the specific needs of a group, when notified in advance.

Song & Dance Presentations

A song and dance presentation given by the Anishinabe performers is a unique option that the Ziibiwing Center offers for your meeting or event. This onsite or offsite performance is a one-of-a-kind experience that your meeting attendees or event guests will remember for many years to come. Men and women dancers perform traditional style dances, while men perform the grass or fancy feather style dances, and women perform jingle dress and fancy shawl style dances.

For more information about incorporating this cultural experience into your next meeting, contact the Visitor Services Coordinator at 989-775-4750.
