Mt. Pleasant High School students recognized

Two Native American students from Mt. Pleasant High School have achieved a 4.0 GPA during the fourth marking period.

Congratulations go out to Janelle Jackson, and Victor Whitt, and their families for this honor.

Janelle, a sophomore, has had a 3.98 cumulative GPA through 10 marking periods.

Victor, a junior, has had an overall GPA of 3.567.

Both of these students take their academics very seriously.

Janelle can be seen most every night studying at the Tribe's homework lab and

Victor spends every extra moment at school in the Native American Advo-cate's office studying. He also utilizes the Tribe's homework lab.

The following 26 Native American Students at Mt. Pleasant High School have achieved a 3.0 or better GPA in the fourth marking period. This total represents 41percent of the Native American school population at MPHS.

Congratulations to all these students and their families on their academic success. All of these students will receive a movie pass from the Tribal Education Department.
