Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police officers recently responded to the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort for a suspicious package complaining that was eventually determined to be an empty box.

Steps were taken on July 28 by casino security, surveillance and area police departments to ensure the safety of the patrons and employees. Tribal Police were also assisted by the Northern Michigan Canine Service and the Michigan State Police Bomb Squad Unit.

"I am proud of the efficiency of our casino and police staff regarding how they performed their duties to ensure the safety of our patrons, employees and community," stated Chief Audrey Falcon.

"We are very proud of their efforts and will continue to take such steps to ensure the well being of our patrons, employees and community when such issues arise."
