Annual Human Race

This annual event co-sponsored by 7th Generation — "successful for the past 10 years" — is a 5 mile and 2 mile Fun Run, where participants may either run or walk depending on health concerns. The activity starts at the Elijah Elk Cultural Center when the 5 mile participannts start going west. The entire race is located on the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Nation Reservation and countryside on a paved flat course.

T-shirts are offered to the first 100 pre-registered participants and plaques are awarded to the top 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place race finisher for each age group. A lunch is offered after the race which is included for the participants.

The purpose for this event is for the prorotion of spirituality, Native American culture, health and positive lifestyles for the community and the communities' youths where all are welcome to attend and join the fun.
