Cultural Representatives

Cultural Representatives are a very important part of the cultural sharing process at Seventh Generation Program, both on-site as well as off site. These individuals are knowledgeable in many aspects of the Native culture. Their work is mostly comprised of presentations that spread cultural awareness and understanding. They are involved with planning all events, workshops and projects. The Cultural Representatives, Wood Shop Instructor and Stone Sculptor, Youth Coordinator and Program Director speak about the importance of respecting all that is used in ceremonies, artistic creations, as well as plants and foods harvested from our Mother Earth. The natural world provides for us when we need wood, stone, food, water or medicines. These individuals make time to present offerings or gifts of thanks and prayers that show respect to the Creator, to the Four directions and to Mother Earth for providing for all of Creation.
