Four Seasonal Feasts

Seventh Generation has four seasonal feasts. We honor the four directions and celebrate by feasting, having a giveaway, and coming together as a community. The food and giveaway are standard parts of the event. Since feasting during the seasons and ceremonies is Traditional, Seventh Generation Program adheres to traditional cooking along with community members bringing a dish to pass. Mary prepares all the food in a sacred and traditional way. Seventh Generation Program also invites guest speakers to share their wisdom, knowledge and Teachings with our staff and community. Also Seventh Generation Program is honored to have the help of tribal youth in preparing for this event. The next feast, spring feast is set for July 31 2002. It will be held in Saganing, Michigan. We will honor the Southern Direction.
