Language Bingo will be on Thursday, September 1st from 1 pm to 3 pm at Andahwod.

Sasiwaans Parent Orientation will be held on Thursday, September 1st at 6 pm – 8 pm. (ALRD Outreach, 7170 Ogemaw Drive – Misty Pelcher)

Library Card Sign-Up Month at the Saginaw Chippewa Library.

Traditional Healer, Donnie Dowd, will be at Behavioral Health on Thursday, September 1st and Friday, September 2nd for traditional healing. Please call (989) 775-4850 for an appointment. 

Jake & Mary Pine, Traditional Healers, will be at 7th Generation on Thursday, September 1st & September 2nd.  Please call (989) 775-4787 to make an appointment. 

Labor Day Picnic will be taking place on Monday, September 5th from 1 pm – 6 pm at the Saginaw Chippewa Campground.

First day of school for SCA students is Tuesday, September 6th at 8:00 am.

SCA Parent Advisory Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 7th from 5 pm – 6 pm in the SCA Cafeteria.

Moccasin Workshop class will take place on Wednesday, September 7th from 5 pm – 8 pm at the SCTC East Building. Pre-registration is required. 

Traditional Teachings in Saganing will take place on Wednesday, September 7th from 11 am to 1 pm at the Tribal Center.

Ziibiwing Grandparents Day will be held on Saturday, September 10th from 10 am – 6 pm.

7th Generation Traditional Powwow will be held Saturday, September 10th & Sunday, September 11th. Public welcome.

District 1 Hydrant Flushing takes place Monday, September 12th thru Friday, September 16th.

OK2SAY Michigan Cyber Safety Initiative Presentation at SCA Cafeteria Tuesday, September 13th 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm.

Medicine Wheel Teachings will take place at 7th Generation on Wednesday, September 14th from 5 pm – 7 pm.

Youth Council will meet on Wednesday, September 14th & September 28th from 5 pm – 6 pm in the Old Council Conference Room.

All SCIT Tribal Member Elders from all districts can enjoy Elder’s Breakfast on Wednesday, September 14th & 28th at Andahwod from 9 am to 10 am.

A Financial Workshop will take place on Thursday,  September 15th at the Housing Conference Room starting at noon with lunch.  

Menopause Support Group will be held at Nimkee Public Health Kitchen Friday, September 16th from Noon – 3 pm.

Tribal Observer October issue deadline is Friday, September 16th at 5 pm. 

Ziibiwing Monarch Butterfly Celebration Saturday, September 17th 1 pm – 4 pm.

Mahnoomin Harvesting Workshop takes place Saturday, September 17th & 24th from  9 am – 5 pm. Meet at SCTC (Harvesting Lake TBD).

Saganing Bingo with Friends Tuesday, September 20th 10:30 am – 2 pm.

Women’s Support Group meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Behavioral Health.  Dinner, childcare and transportation provided – next meeting is Tuesday, September 20th.

Youth Anishinabe Performance Circle begins Tuesday, September 20th 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm at Ziibiwing. Teens & Adults Anishinabe Performance Circle begins Wednesday, September 21st 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm at Ziibiwing.  

Bingo with Friends will take place at Andahwod on Wednesday, September 21st from 1 pm to 2:30 pm.

SCA closed Friday, September 23rd in observance of Michigan Indian Day.

Museum Day Live! will be held Saturday, September 24th from 10 am – 6 pm.

Andahwod Birthday Bingo will take place on Saturday, September 24th 12 pm – 3 pm.

Women’s Traditions is held at Behavioral Health on Mondays from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

Euchre Mondays take place at Andahwod 6 pm.

Struggling or need support?  Residential Treatment Center – Behavioral Health is now offering drop-in relapse prevention groups twice a week.  Mondays  -  5:30  pm to 7  pm  and  Fridays  -  11:30  am  to 1 pm.

Anishinaabe Ogitchedaw Veterans Society meets the first Tuesday of the month in the Seniors Room of Tribal Operations from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.

Open Crafts with Elisa at Andahwod every Tuesday at 5 pm.

2016 Native Farmers Market takes place every Tuesday with hours from 10 am to 2 pm. 

Lacrosse practice takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at the Tribal Gym until the weather changes from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Keyboarding and Learnkey is held on Tuesdays from 2 pm to 4 pm and on Fridays from 10 am to Noon at the IT

department. 

Enjoy Open Gym on Wednesdays at the Tribal Gym from 6 pm to 9 pm.

The Seventh Generation Program has a sacred fire lunch every Thursday from 11 am to 1 pm followed by Talking Circle  from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Elijah Elk building on the corner of Remus and Shepherd Rds.

Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture takes place every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 3 pm – 6 pm at Behavioral Health on Shepherd Road.

The Tribal Clerk’s Office will be closed every Friday for walk in/desk services for Administrative Office Day starting in February.

Free Admission to Ziibiwing Exhibits from Memorial Day to Labor Day (May 30th to September 5th) to honor warriors and their families as part of the Blue Star Museums. 

Free septic & well inspections for Tribal Members who live in Indian Health Service area.  Please call (989) 775-4014 to schedule an appointment.
