Last week of STEM Camp Tuesday, August 2nd & Thursday, August 4th  from 6 pm to 8 pm at the SCTC Campus East Building. End of Camp Celebration will take place on Wednesday, August 10th from 4 pm – 7 pm at the Soaring Eagle Hideaway RV Park.

Traditional Teachings in Saganing will take place on Wednesday, August 3rd from 11 am to 1 pm at the Tribal Center.

SCA Parent Advisory Meeting is Wednesday, August 3rd from 5 pm – 6 pm in the SCA Cafeteria.

7th Generation Summer Feast will take place on Wednesday, August 3rd from 5:30 pm – 8 pm.

Jake & Mary Pine, Traditional Healers, will be at 7th Generation on Thursday, August 4th & Friday, August 5th.  Please call (989) 775-4787 to make an appointment. 

September Tribal Child Welfare Affidavit’s deadline is Friday, August 5th by 5 pm. Tribal Clerk’s office will be open.

Youth Council will meet on Wednesday, August 3rd, August 17th & August 31st from 5 pm – 6 pm in the Old Council Conference Room.

Tribal Library will be CLOSED Thursday, August 4th.

Language Bingo will be on Thursday, August 4th from 1 pm to 3 pm at Andahwod.

Cigna Wellness Seminar will take place in Saganing on Thursday, August 4th from 12 pm – 1 pm.

Traditional Healer, Donnie Dowd, will be at Behavioral Health on Thursday, August 4th and Friday, August 5th for traditional healing. Please call (989) 775-4850 for an appointment. 

Anishinaabe Youth Art and Emerging Entrepreneur Camp will be held at Ziibiwing Monday, August 8th, Tuesday, August 9th, Thursday, August 11th Friday, August 12th and 7th Generation Wednesday, August 10th 10 am – 5 pm.

World Indigenous People’s Day at Ziibiwing on Tuesday, August 9th 1 pm – 3 pm.

All SCIT Tribal Member Elders from all districts can enjoy Elder’s Breakfast on Wednesday, August 10th & 24th at Andahwod from 9 am to 10 am.

AISM Golf Outing will take place Friday, August 12th at Maple Creek Golf Course.

Elder’s Only Loons Game Trip on August 14th. Leaving at 1:00 pm.

Women’s Support Group meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Behavioral Health.  Dinner, childcare and transportation provided – next meeting is Tuesday, August 16th.

SAVE THE DATE Healthy Start YOUNG Father’s Honored Family Picnic/SWIM will take place at Soaring Eagle RV Park on Tuesday, August 16th from 11 am – 3 pm.

Tribal Observer August issue deadline is Tuesday, August 16th at 5 pm. 

Bingo with Friends will take place at Andahwod on Wednesday, August 17th from 1 pm to 2:30 pm.

AISM Youth Cupcake Wars on Wednesday, August 17th from 12 noon to 5 pm in the Tribal Gym.

Wild Rice Tool Making Workshop will take place Wednesday, August 17th & Thursday, August 18th 5 pm – 8 pm at 7th Generation.

Join us for Evening Bonfire & Music at Andahwod August, 17th, 19th, 25th & 27th.

Saganing Women’s Retreat presented by Nimkee on Thursday, August 18th from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Saganing Tribal Center.

A Financial Workshop will take place on Thursday,  August 18th at the Housing Conference Room starting at noon with lunch. 

Art Walk Central begins at Ziibiwing on Friday, August 19th 10 am – 6 pm.

Red Chair Project takes place at 7th Generation on Monday, August 22nd from 5 pm – 8pm.

Saganing Back to School Event takes place Tuesday, August 23rd 12 pm – 2 pm at the Saganing Tribal Center.

Kickball Game sponsored by Housing on Tuesday, August 23rd from 4 pm – 8 pm at the Broadway Ball Field and Pavilion.

Ziibiwing Vendor Workshop Tuesday, August 23rd from 6 pm – 8 pm.

K-12 Education Back to School Event will be held on Thursday, August 25th from 5 pm – 8 pm at the Housing Pavilion.

Youth Council Leadership Summit begin at 3 pm on Friday, August 26th through Sunday, August 28th at SECR.

Sasiwaans Parent Orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 30th  at 9 am - 10 am, Wednesday, August 31st  at 2 pm – 3 pm and Thursday, September 1st at 6 pm – 7pm. (ALRD Outreach, 7170 Ogemaw Drive – Misty Pelcher)

AISM Sober Fest takes place Tuesday, August 30th  from 4 pm – 8 pm at Behavioral Health Backyard/7th Gen Village.

SCA Open House on Wednesday, August 31st from 5 pm – 7 pm at the Saginaw Chippewa Academy.

Women’s Traditions is held at Behavioral Health on Mondays from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

Euchre Mondays take place at Andahwod 6 pm.

Struggling or need support?  Residential Treatment Center – Behavioral Health is now offering drop-in relapse prevention groups twice a week.  Mondays  -  5:30  pm to 7  pm  and  Fridays  -  11:30  am  to 1 pm.

Anishinaabe Ogitchedaw Veterans Society meets the first Tuesday of the month in the Seniors Room of Tribal Operations from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.

Open Crafts with Elisa at Andahwod every Tuesday at 5 pm.

2016 Native Farmers Market starts on Tuesday, June 7th and ends on Tuesday, October 11th - hours are from 10 am to 4 pm. 

Lacrosse practice takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at the Tribal Gym until the weather changes from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Keyboarding and Learnkey is held on Tuesdays from 2 pm to 4 pm and on Fridays from 10 am to noon at the IT department.

Enjoy Open Gym on Wednesdays at the Tribal Gym from 6 pm to 9 pm.

The Seventh Generation Program has a sacred fire lunch every Thursday from 11 am to 1 pm followed by Talking Circle  from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Elijah Elk building on the corner of Remus and Shepherd Rds.

Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture takes place every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 3 pm – 6 pm at Behavioral Health on Shepherd Road.

The Tribal Clerk’s Office will be closed every Friday for walk in/desk services for Administrative Office Day starting in February.

Free Community Wild Rice Summer Course will take place on Fridays from 1 pm to 3 pm and/or 3 pm to 5 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm.  Please meet at the Tribal College East Building.

Free Admission to Ziibiwing Exhibits from Memorial Day to Labor Day (May 30th to September 5th) to honor warriors and their families as part of the Blue Star Museums. 

Free septic & well inspections for Tribal Members who live in Indian Health Service area.  Please call (989) 775-4014 to schedule an appointment.
