Traditional Teaching in Saganing will take place on Wednesday, December 2nd  from 11 am to 1 pm at the Tribal Center.

 

Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College STEM fundraiser lunch will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd from noon to 1 pm at the West building. 

 

There will be a public hearing for US Environmental Protection Agency & Brownfield Cleanup on Wednesday, December 2nd from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Saganing Tribal Center.

 

Language Bingo will be on Thursday, December 3rd from 1 pm to 3 pm with Sarnia elders in attendance at Andahwod.

 

Saganing will have a Christmas Party on Friday, December 4th at the Tribal Center from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. 

 

RCH Dodge-Ball Tournament will take place on Friday, December 4th at 6 p.m. at the SECR Entertainment Hall.  Participants please show up at 5 pm.  Registration forms are available at the Tribal Recreation Center. 

 

Jake & Mary Pine will be at 7th Generation on Monday & Tuesday, December 7th & 8th for traditional healing.  Please phone (989) 775-4787 for an appointment. 

 

All SCIT Tribal Member Elders from all districts can enjoy Elder’s Breakfast on Wednesday, December 9th & 23rd  at Andahwod from 9 am to 10 am.

 

Feast Plate Making & Teachings will be held on Thursday, December 10th from 5:30 pm to 8 pm at 7th Generation.  Please call (989) 775-4787 to register.  Cost is $10.

 

Ziibiwing will have its Annual Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, December 10th from 6 pm to 8 pm.

 

The Tribal Observer deadline for the January issue is Friday, December 11th at 3 pm.

 

Enjoy a bowl at soup at the Tribal Center in Saganing on Friday, December 11th from noon to 1 pm.

 

The Parks & Recreation Department will have a Christmas Family Bingo on Monday, December 14th from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Tribal Gym.

 

Ziibiwing will hold a Community Cultural Teaching on Saturday, December 12th from 12 pm to 4 pm.

 

Youth Council will be wrapping gifts on Saturday, December 12th for a donation at Andahwod from 12 pm to 4 pm.

 

The Andahwod Elders Christmas Party will be held on Monday, December 14th at 4:30 pm.

 

Performance Circle Graduation will take place on Tuesday, December 15th from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Broadway Theatre. 

 

Saginaw Chippewa Academy will have their Winter Program on Wednesday, December 16th from 6 pm to 8 pm at SECR Entertainment Hall. 

 

Behavioral Health will have a Behavioral Health Family Dinner: Suicide Myth Buster, on Wednesday, December 16th from 6 pm to 8 pm at 7th Generation. 

 

Sasiwaans will have their Christmas Program on Thursday, December 17th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the Tribal Gym.

 

Saganing will be taking a shopping trip to Birch Run Outlets on Friday, December 18th from 8 am to 5 pm. 

 

Parks & Recreation will have an Ugly Sweater Family Christmas Bowling Tournament on Saturday, December 19th from noon until 5 pm at Chippewa Lanes.  

 

Parks & Recreation is hosting a Movie Day at Celebrations Cinema on Sunday, December 20th from noon until 3 pm.  Tickets (2 per Tribal Member) can be picked up on Friday, December 18th starting at 8 am at Tribal Operations main lobby – first come first serve. 

 

Saganing will host a Christmas Movie at the Tribal Center on Monday, December 21st from noon until 4 pm.

 

Tribal Operations and all related offices will be closed on Thursday, December 24th to Friday, January 1st for Christmas and New Year’s.

 

Nimkee Pharmacy will be opening during December 28th to 30th from 8 am to 4 pm.

 

There will be a New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop on Thursday, December 31st at Andahwod at 5 pm.

 

SCTC Extension Free Mahnoomin Class on Tuesdays from 9 am to 10:30 am and Thursdays Field Experience (as weather permits) Instructor: Lee Sprague.  Starts August 25th to December 8th 2015.

 

Tribal Children’s Welfare Program Affidavits will be mailed and available in the Clerk’s Office starting Monday, December 21, 2015.  The deadline that they are due back is Friday, February 5th.

 

Become a Love & Logic Parent with classes every Tuesday starting on December 8th and ending on January 26th from 3 pm to 5 pm at Nimkee Public Health. 

 

2016 Golf Memberships will be available for purchasing around mid-December at Tribal Ops Accounting. 

 

Nimkee Clinic laboratory and pharmacy are open at 7:30 am – 5 pm M,W,T & F and OPEN until 7 pm on Tuesdays

 

Al-Anon meetings are held every Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Behavioral Health.

Struggling or need support?  Residential Treatment Center –Behavioral Health is now offering drop-in relapse prevention groups twice a week.  Mondays - 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays - 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 

The Seventh Generation Program has a sacred fire lunch every Thursday from 11 am to 1 pm at the Elijah Elk building on the corner of Remus and Shepherd roads.

 

Anishinaabe Ogitchedaw Veterans Society meets the first Tuesday of the month in the Senior’s Room of Tribal Operation from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

 

Anishinaabe Language Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 pm to 7 pm. 

 

Lunch Bunch meets every Wednesday from noon to 1 pm at the Language Center. 

 

Enjoy Open Gym on Wednesdays at the Tribal Gym from 6 pm to 9 pm.

 

Women’s Traditions is held at Behavioral Health on Mondays from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

 

Keyboarding and Learnkey is held on Tuesday from 2 pm to 4 pm and on Friday from 10 am to noon at the IT department. 

 

Free septic pump & sewer check for Tribal Members who live in Indian Health Service area.  Please call (989) 775-4014 to schedule an appointment.
