Guest speaker: Peggy Hemenway
Peggy Hemenway is a member of the Little Traverse Bay Band
of Odawa Indians. She helped her tribe obtainre affirmation in
the ‘80s. Peggy is currently working for the Sault Ste. Marie
Tribe of Chippewa Indians as a traditional practitioner
assistant in the Traditional Medicines Program since 1996.
She has made presentations on traditional medicines and its
practices at several universities and medical associations
