Here are the E.coli results from this week. The levels have drastically increased from last week. Each site now exceeds State of Michigan water quality standards for full body contact.

E. coli levels on the Chippewa River were sampled at School Rd bridge crossing,  Meridian Park, Chip-A-Waters Park, North Branch Chippewa River near Meridian Road

and Chippewa Rd bridge crossing on Tuesday, September 29th, 2015. The results are as follows:

School Rd bridge crossing:

Daily Geometric Mean: 793

30-Day Geometric Mean: 174

The mean E.coli level at School Rd bridge crossing of 793 is currently above 300, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for Daily Geometric Mean. The 30-Day Geometric mean of 174 is currently above 130, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for 30-Day Geometric Mean.

Meridian Park:

Daily Geometric Mean: 1132

30-Day Geometric Mean: 341

The mean E.coli level at Meridian park of 1132 is currently above 300, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for Daily Geometric Mean. The 30-Day Geometric mean of 341 is currently above 130, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for 30-Day Geometric Mean.

North Branch Chippewa River near Meridian Road

Daily Geometric Mean: 4190

30-Day Geometric Mean: 1611

The mean E.coli level at Meridian of 4190 is currently above 300, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for Daily Geometric Mean. The 30-Day Geometric mean of 1611 is currently above 130, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for 30-Day Geometric Mean.
