Hello all,

Here are the E.coli results from this week. The levels are up slightly from last week with the exception of North Branch which has decreased from last week.

Please distribute the attached information.

E. coli levels on the Chippewa River were sampled at School Rd bridge crossing,  Meridian Park, Chip-A-Waters Park, North Branch Chippewa River near Meridian Road

and Chippewa Rd bridge crossing on Tuesday, August 25th, 2015. The results are as follows:

School Rd bridge crossing:

Daily Geometric Mean: 24

30-Day Geometric Mean: 22

The mean E.coli level at School Rd bridge crossing of 24 is currently below 300, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for Daily Geometric Mean. The 30-Day Geometric mean of 22 is currently below 130, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for 30-Day Geometric Mean.

Meridian Park:

Daily Geometric Mean: 91

30-Day Geometric Mean: 96

The mean E.coli level at Meridian park of 91 is currently below 300, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for Daily Geometric Mean. The 30-Day Geometric mean of 96 is currently below 130, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for 30-Day Geometric Mean.

North Branch Chippewa River near Meridian Road

Daily Geometric Mean: 560

30-Day Geometric Mean: 978

The mean E.coli level at Meridian of 560 is currently above 300, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for Daily Geometric Mean. The 30-Day Geometric mean of 978 is currently above 130, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for 30-Day Geometric Mean.

Chipp-A-Waters Park:

Daily Geometric Mean: 155

30-Day Geometric mean: 673

The mean E.coli levels at Chip-A-Waters Park of 155 is currently below 300, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for Daily Geometric Mean. The 30-Day Geometric mean of 673 is currently above 130, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for 30-Day Geometric Mean.

Chippewa Rd bridge crossing:

Daily Geometric Mean: 194

30-Day Geometric Mean: 337

The mean E.coli level at Chippewa Rd bridge crossing of 194 is currently below 300, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for Daily Geometric Mean. The 30-Day Geometric mean of 337 is currently above 130, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for 30-Day Geometric Mean.
