Powwow Conditioning will take place on Sundays during the month of May at 7th Generation from 1 pm – 3 pm.

 

Celebrating Families Program will be held on Tuesdays at the Saginaw Chippewa Academy during the month of May from 6 pm – 8 pm. Registration is necessary by calling (989) 775-4850.

 

Sweetgrass Dream Catcher Workshop takes place in Saganing on Wednesday, May 1st from 11 am – 1 pm.

 

Youth Council Bake Sale will be held Wednesday, May 1st from 3 pm – 5 pm in the Tribal Operations Lobby.

 

Women’s Empowerment Night will be held Wednesday, May 1st from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm in the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort Swan Creek Saginaw Room.

 

Ziibiwing Birthday Sale Day Trip from Saganing takes place Thursday, May 2nd from 8 am – 1 pm.

 

Language Bingo will be held Thursday, May 2nd from 1 pm – 3 pm at Andahwod.

 

Central Michigan Families Against Narcotics (FAN) Support Group will be held Thursday, May 2nd from 7 pm – 8:30 pm in the Tribal Operations Seniors Room.

 

Ziibiwing’s 15th Annual Birthday Sale takes place Thursday, May 2nd & Friday, May 3rd from 10 am – 6 pm.

 

Traditional Healer, Donnie Dowd, will be at Behavioral Health on Friday, May 3rd from 9 am – 4 pm. Please call (989) 775-4850 for an appointment.

 

ACFS Foster Care Fundraiser Enchilada Lunch will be held Friday, May 3rd from 11 am – 1pm in the Tribal Gym Kitchen.

Struggling or need support?  Residential Treatment Center – Behavioral Health offers drop-in relapse prevention groups on Mondays from 5:30 pm to 7 pm and Fridays from 11:30 am to 1 pm.

Anishinabe Ogitchedaw Veterans Society meets the first Tuesday of the month in the Seniors Room of Tribal Operations from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.

The Tribal Clerk’s Office is closed every Friday for walk in/desk services for Administrative Office Day.

Committee Vacancies:

 

Elders Advisory Board has six vacancies available. Please submit letters of interest to Andahwod by Friday, May 17th.

 

Michigan Indian Elder Association is seeking two delegates and two alternates. Please send letters of interest to Andahwod by Friday, May 17th (must be able to travel).

 

Indian Child Welfare Committee currently has one vacancy seat available. Please send letters of interest to Anishnaabeg Child & Family Services by June 1st.

 

SCTC Board of Regents is currently considering application to fill a vacancy. Please mail letters of interest to Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College.
