Anishinaabe Environment & Culture Summer Camp Applications will be accepted through the month of April. For further details contact Kathy Hart at (989) 775-4123.

Andahwod Wellness Lodge will be offering Tai Chi Classes every Thursday in April from 12 pm – 1 pm. Classes are $6 each and no experience necessary. For more information call (989) 775-4307.

 

June Tribal Child Welfare Affidavit forms are available beginning Monday, April 3rd  and will be accepted no later than Friday, May 5th by 5:00 pm (post marked mail or faxes will not be accepted).

 

SCA Spring Break begins Monday, April 3rd through Friday, April 7th.

 

Traditional Teachings will take place in Saganing on Wednesday, April 5th from 11 am – 1 pm.

 

Language Bingo at Andahwod Thursday, April 6th from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

 

Spring Feast w/Guest Speaker Isabella Osawamick will take place on Thursday, April 6th from 5:30 pm – 8 pm at 7th Generation.

 

The Saginaw Chippewa/Isabella County FAN Support Group will be held Thursday, April 6th from 7 pm – 8:30 pm in the Tribal Operations Seniors Room.

 

Traditional Healer Donnie Dowd will be at Behavioral Health on Thursday, April 6th & 7th and May 4th & 5th  from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. Please call for (989) 775-4850 for an appointment.

 

Be WELL Challenge Group will take place Thursday, April 6th & Thursday, April 20th from 12 pm – 1 pm in the Nimkee Public Health Kitchen. Contact Jayme Green for details (989) 775-4696.

 

Yellow Shawl Project will be held on Tuesday, April 11th 9 am – 3 pm in the Nimkee Public Health Kitchen.

Easter Brunch at Andahwod takes place Wednesday, April 12th from 11 am – 1 pm. All SCIT Elders Eat Free. Guests 13 & Older - $12 and Children 12 & Under - $6.  

 

Youth Council will meet on Wednesday, April 12th & Wednesday, April 26th from 5 pm – 6 pm in the Teen Lounge/Youth Council Office located in the Tribal Gym.

 

Half Day for SCA Students due to Staff Professional Development Thursday, April 13th & Thursday, April 14th.

 

Anishinaabemowin Sacred Fire Lunch will be held Thursday, April 13th & Thursday, April 27th from 12 pm – 1 pm at 7th Generation Ceremonial Building.

 

 

Housing “Asset Building” Management will be held on Thursday, April 13th from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm and Thursday, April 20th from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the Housing office on Broadway.

The Saginaw Chippewa/Isabella County FAN Board Meeting will be held Thursday, April 20th from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the Ziibiwing Cultural Center.

 

The Saginaw Chippewa/Isabella County FAN Monthly Forum will be held Thursday, April 20th from 7 pm – 9 pm at the Ziibiwing Cultural Center.

 

Ziibiwing’s New Changing Exhibit Opens Saturday, April 22nd from 12 pm – 8 pm.

 

Money Smart Week at the Tribal Library Monday, April 24th through Friday, April 28th from 9 am – 6 pm and Money Smart Story Time Thursday, April 27th from 4:30 pm – 5 pm.  Everyone is welcome!

 

Red Cross Blood Drive will be held in the Tribal Gym on Tuesday, April 25th from 10:30 am – 4 pm.

 

All SCIT Tribal Member Elders from all districts can enjoy Elder’s Breakfast on Wednesday, April 26th at Andahwod from 9 am to 10 am.

 

Sacred Water Symposium will take place at Ziibiwing on Saturday, April 29th from 7 am – 5 pm.

 

Youth Council will be hosting Game Night in the Tribal Gym on Saturday, April 29th from 6 pm – 9 pm.

New Spirit Meetings are held every Sunday at Behavioral Health 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

 

Women’s Traditions is held at Behavioral Health on Mondays from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

 

Prevention Thru Art takes place every Monday  from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm at Behavioral Health. (Previously held on Thursdays as Beading Class with Alice Jo)

 

Euchre with Potluck takes place on Mondays 6 pm at Andahwod.

 

Language Drop-In takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm. For more information call ALRD at (989) 775-4110.

 

Struggling or need support?  Residential Treatment Center – Behavioral Health is now offering drop-in relapse prevention groups twice a week.  Mondays  -  5:30  pm to 7 pm  and  Fridays  - 11:30  am  to 1 pm.

 

Active Parenting Now Classes are held every Tuesday at Anishnaabeg Child and Family Services.

 

Performance Circle Classes are held on Tuesdays from 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm at Ziibiwing.

 

Crafts with Friends will be held every Tuesday from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the 7th Generation Building.

 

Anishinaabe Ogitchedaw Veterans Society meets the first Tuesday of the month in the Seniors Room of Tribal Operations from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.

 

Narcotics Anonymous takes place every Tuesday in the Behavioral Health Lodge from 6 pm – 8 pm.

 

Jewelry with Kay at Andahwod takes place the first Tuesday of month from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm.

 

Open Crafts with Elisa at Andahwod every Tuesday at 5 pm.

Keyboarding and Open Lab is held on Tuesdays from 2 pm to 4 pm and Fridays from 10 am to 12 pm at the IT

The 7th Generation Talking Circle takes place on Thursdays  from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Elijah Elk building on the corner of Remus and Shepherd Rds.

 

Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture takes place every Thursday from 4 pm – 6 pm at Behavioral Health on Shepherd Road.

 

Sweat Lodge at Behavioral Health 5:30 pm – 11:00 pm every first Friday of the month.

 

The Tribal Clerk’s Office is closed every Friday for walk in/desk services for Administrative Office Day.

2017 Annual Report Form Deadline May 4th by 5pm. Post marked forms, mail or faxes will not be accepted.
