“The Ziibiwing Center acquires culturally relevant materials that
support the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan and the Great
Lakes Anishinaabek. Acquisitions provide a means of strengthening
the collection and enhancing its value for exhibition, education and
research. Our vast collection of documentary and cultural materials is
often referred to as the heart of our organization. Through the
generosity of the tribal community the collection has grown
considerably. Recent community donations will be on display.
Come and marvel at the family treasures that have been
accepted as additions to the permanent collection.”
- William Johnson, Ziibiwing Center Curator
