Program
Description
This incentive is modeled after the triathlon
athletic event. Participants must complete three different
stages of exercises in order to complete the incentive. You
must complete each stage in order before moving onto the next
activity. (top)
Objective
Participants will race to see who can finish
all the activities in order first. The faster you accomplish
each activity the better chance you will have to be one of
the top three finishers for both males and females. (top)
How
to Participate
Participants must sign up at the Nimkee Fitness
Center front desk and obtain the incentive program activity
packet with log sheets to track your progress.
The first part of the three stages consists
of the swimming aspect of a triathlon. Participants can fitness
swim (laps or lengths) or use the kayak and rowing machines
to accumulate 6 miles to advance to the next activity. The
second part of the three stages consists of the bicycling
aspect of a triathlon. Participants can use the stationary
bikes in the fitness center, the Nu-Step machine, or use a
bike at home to accumulate 25 miles to advance to the final
activity. The final part of the three stages consists of the
running aspect of a triathlon.
Participants can use the treadmills, free runners,
and walk or run outside to accumulate 15 miles. After they
have accumulated the 15 miles they are done with the triathlon
and must turn their log sheet in IMMEDIATELY to be eligible
for a prize. Log sheets are due as soon as you complete the
last activity! (top)
When
does it start and finish
This incentive program starts September 24 and
will end on October 28. Log sheets will have to be turned
in by November 5. (top)
Why
should you Participate
f you are like many people, starting and staying
on a consistent program can be challenging. A lack of direction
and goals can make it even easier to let fitness slide. With
realistic goal setting and consistent activity you can make
achieving the results you want from being physically active
a lot easier. The Fall Back Into Fitness incentive program
can help you get back on track with your fitness goals and
stay there, by making fitness fun. (top)
