Special Election for District One Council Seat Results
Please be advised the official results of the Special District One Council
Election were certified by the Election Caucus Committee
on Tuesday evening, July 8, 2008. Former Tribal Council member Bernard
Sprague received 65 votes followed by former Council member Delores Jackson
with 54 votes and former Council member Tim Davis with 42 votes.
The 306
ballots cast for the Special District One Council Election
garnered a 36.2% voter turnout, substantially down from
previous Tribal elections.
Sprague is scheduled to be sworn in as one of
the twelve Council members at their regularly scheduled
August 5, 2008 monthly Tribal Council meeting.
