Dear Tribal Members,
On behalf of our Tribal Council, I would like to
say “miigwetch” for your support and
wish you and your family the best for this holiday
season.
We realize there are many concerns that need to
be addressed. We are in the process of doing our
research with the assistance of program directors
and many Tribal departments within our organization.
This Council Administration has not made any decisions
regarding enrollment issues, however, we are preparing
for a State of the Tribe address that will provide
the Tribal membership with the mission of this Council
Administration.
The next community meeting is scheduled for Sunday,
January 18, 2004 at the Soaring Eagle Entertainment
Hall in Mt. Pleasant. The Office of Tribal Clerk
will begin registration promptly at 1:00 p.m. with
dinner beginning at 2:00 p.m. Please make sure you
have your Tribal I.D. with you so you can attend
this meeting of the Tribal membership.
To make this meeting available to many At-Large
and Saganing Tribal members who have to drive, Tribal
Council moved to have the upcoming quarterly meetings
on Sunday afternoon. Along with the State of the
Tribe address, all present Council members will have
an opportunity to address the community. We will
also have representation of many Tribal departments,
a financial report and a question and answer period
for the membership.
We need to hear your voice and your support is vital
to the growth of all who live and work in our community.
Our Council Administration considers it an honor
and responsibility to work for our people and we
pledge to do our best to increase open communication
between our Tribal Council and the Tribal membership.
Please take the time to enjoy the blessings we have
received and share them with those you love. I look
forward to seeing everyone at the first community
meeting for this Council Administration.
Miigwetch!
Tribal Chief Audrey Falcon
